June 14, 2010 – Power Company of Wyoming LLC has been invited to present a project overview at the June meeting of the Carbon County Council of Governments.
The CCCOG meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at the Platte Valley Community Center in Saratoga. PCW will outline its Chokecherry and Sierra Madre Wind Energy Project and the economic and environmental benefits it will bring to Carbon County and to the County's cities and towns. The meeting is open to the public.
Other wind items to note this week:
- The Carbon County Commission signed a proclamation at its June 1 meeting declaring June 15, 2010, as "Wyoming Wind Day," in alignment with Global Wind Day celebrated worldwide on June 15. "Wyoming Wind Day" has also so far been designated by Natrona County, Albany County, Uinta County and Laramie County as well. Thank you, Carbon County!
- CCHEC's second annual "Celebration of Wind," held May 14-15, was another big success. PCW's event summary and a few fun photos are posted to our News page. Watch for more photos to be posted soon reflecting other PCW activities.
Thanks for your continued support of our wind energy work. If you know other people who would like to join PCW's e-mail information list, a sign-up link is available at www.powercompanyofwyoming.com.
